Well they do say the only two industries that aren’t affected by a downturn are entertainment and organised crime.
Wonder if the spike’s got anything to do with the update of the ITV player?
I think it’s a general trend for major vod based TV sites. Traffic to the site has virtually doubled in the last year and a half I would say that’s down better design, SEO, general awareness of video on demand and the success of the big entertainment shows like Britain’s Got Talent and X Factor. I also reckon the surge in broadband use is a big factor. The player rebrand may have some effect but I doubt we’d notice that just yet.
