My pal and boss of trailblazing PR agency Mission21 Richard Knight is on the lookout for an account manger to work on a unique career / life changing project (his words, then he is a PR man).

The gig: a huge science and engineering adventure launching October and running for three years - “think moon-shot or Everest attempt”, says Richard. It combines cutting edge technology with danger, drama and great TV. The person leading the project is the world No1 in this field and his previous endeavours have generated worldwide coverage on a par with a major movie launch.

The new project is backed by government, research councils, universities, MOD and major companies.

Richard is comms director for the team and mission21 is handling all aspects of comms.

This hire will need the usual impossible combination of qualities: brains, charm, unflappability, resourcefulness, boundless energy and optimism. A genuine interest in media, technology and science would be useful. Experience working on major campaigns (commercial, ngo, military) would be good too. They will spend a month each year at base camp, looking after 200 international media.
