Snapped at Pangea Day, the TED-linked worldwide event. Ben Andrews and I spent a few hours at the London hub at Somerset House watching films from all around the world. Some were deeply moving, many were humorous and all reminded me of the fact that despite our differences as human beings, we have many, many similarities - the most obvious being that we ‘feel’. This graffiti was written in a branded space where visitors were encouraged to doodle their thoughts, sentiments, whatever. I liked this as it’s so true. However big and important the Web feels, the world came first and it’s the world that needs patching up, connecting and improving. The event this evening was attended by so many different cultures and organised by so many bright people with great intentions and dreams. It made me excited at the potential for mass communication in fostering and nurturing change in the *real* world.
