Even at the young age of 23 I still feel really old because the separation of generations is so large that that far too many people don’t know what this is referencing or who Meatloaf is. Think of the big moose in “Fight Club”, that’s Meatloaf, then Youtube “I Would do Anything for Love” and you will see one of the greatest Rock ballads ever.

The graph is amazing. Just watching the video makes me feel like feeling again.

i credit the graphmaker for clearly being witty, and making me laugh a lot, but please, lord, tell me the people in the comments section claiming meatloaf makes great music are just using “great” in an ironic sense. kitschy 80’s pop-synth-metal-ballads go the way of the dinosaur, yippie - there is plenty of great music, old (beatles, zeppelin, etc.) and new (white stripes, modest mouse) still on the radio.

The more important question is, how many times is Meatloaf going to keep recording new lyrics over the same songs and releasing it as a “new” album? A pleasant & powerful voice, but without a good A&R man, a bit of a one-trick-pony.

I believe the thing that Meat Loaf (note, two words, both capitalised) won’t do is eat his greens, the flabby old salad dodger. I’ll be honest, I never liked his music one little bit, even cheesier than the 23″ pizza ol’ Gutbuster would guzzle for a pre-breakfast snack. So I was delighted when I heard he’s considering giving up his music career to concentrate on his acting. Which he’s much better at. However, it appears he’s planning another tour for this year. You can’t keep an old (fat) dog down :)

LOL you all who don’t know what Meatloaf wouldn’t do, just search the lyrics, and you’ll find, that what he won’t do are essentially the same things that Rick Astley won’t do.
Meatloaf’s list of “that” that he won’t do, according to the song: “Lie to you”, “Forget the way you feel right now”, “forgive myself if we don’t go all the way tonight”, “stop dreaming of you every night of my life”, “forget everything”, “see that it’s time to move on”.

Rick Astley’s list of the things he’s “never gonna do” : “Give you up”, “Let you down”, “Run around and desert you”, “make you cry”, “say goodbye”, “tell a lie, and hurt you”.

The pie chart for Rick Astley is here: http://fyitga.com/stuff/ImportantGraph.jpg

I love both charts. They are very important. ;)
